a transaction of energy

Using a pinhole lens and a long exposure, I painted with the light reflected from my body, creating a fecund and continuous stream of potent energy.

Engaging semiotically, the viewer can experience this tangible relationship in reflection of their own energy transactions and perhaps burn out. The anchor points in the hands and feet, rooted upon the ground amassed with a swarm of energy, are representative of ones most astral of beings.

Visualising the emphatic transaction of gaining energy from acts you love then spending that energy on things you’re obliged to do that ultimately is not rewarding your soul. This tangible relationship needs to be carefully considered in order to feel rejuvenated and avoid feeling burnt out.

The triptych feels like a deep breath, a conjuring of energy, and a release - a transaction.
